Big Bang

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang
I find this site about "Big Bang", but some of them are difficult for me to read.

The Big Bang is talking about the begining of the universe. The scientists believe that the universe has expanded from a very hot and dense initial condition in around 13.3~13.9 billion years ago. And it has been expanding to now and become very big. So it means the distance of everything are getting farther and farther, it also means the distance fo everything used to be very close. In the universe, there is a thig called "Dark energy", it can make the expending of the universe faster.

1.Estimated distribution of dark matter and dark energy in the universe.
74% of the universe are dark energy

Michelangelo

Born on 6 March 1475 in Caprese
Died on February 18, 1564 in Rome

His family had been small-scale bankers in Florence. But it stopped at his father, he held occasional government positions. There was some hearsay that his father is the descendant of Mathilde of Canossa. It maybe is fake, but Michelangelo believed it. After he bron for a several months. His family moved back to Florence. After few years, his mother died. He moved to live with a stonemason family. When he was still young. His father sent him to learn grammar with the Humanist Francesco da Urbino in Florence, but he was more interesting at painting. He learned art with Domenico Ghirlandaio, a painter, and Bertoldo di Giovanni who was a sculptor. 1490~1492, he went to his father's school and molded his thinking in art.

Sistine Chapel ceiling
1508~1512
In this painting, it contents many story, the Separation of Light and Darkness, the Creation of the Sun, Moon and Earth, the Separation of Land and Water, the Creation of Adam, the Creation of Eve, the Temptation and Expulsion, the Sacrifice of Noah, the Great Flood and the Drunkenness of Noah. I choose it because give me a mystification at the part of 《The Creation of Adam》. Michelangelo didn't let the hand touch. It gives us a space to imagine.

Duerer's paintings

<<Praying Hands>>
1508
by Albrecht Durer

This painting has a story, is about his friend and he. Before, he and his friend were active artists, but they were poor. So they decided to pay out together. They agreed one person will go studying and learning first, and the other person will work. Duerer said he wants to work first, but his friend said he was better then him so his fried worked first. After four years, he finished his studying. Now his friend will go studying, but his friend because of hands was having irritation, he can't paint anymore. One day, Duerer saw his friend was praying at God. So he painted this picture.

<<St. Jerome in his Study>>
1514
by Albrecht Durer

In this painting, a man is sitting in a room like a laboratory. And there is a light on his head. A dog and a lion are sitting in front of the door, and a skull, a sandglass. All of the things are about the lost of the time, but there is no devil and it is very quiet. If the unrational behavior will make greedy. Then the people who studying hard, his soul will be redeemed. I like this painting because the man inside looks holly with th light, even he is quiet and not having very much vigor.

Taipei trip:Da Vinci exhibit

This photo is our school's students, teachers and student's parents. We took this photo after we finished seeing the exhibit. We all had fun.

==========================================
On April 4 Saturday 9:00am I bought my breakfast and walked to Savant. Until 9:30, every one was all there. Then some of my classmates' parents and teachers drove us to Taipei to see the exhibit of Da Vinci.
We arrived Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. In the exhibit, there are many copies of his paintings and some fo his inventions model. There are two notes that writen by Da Vinci. His notes are difficult to read, it makes the notes more mystify. I like the war machine, especially the machine like tank. It has many cannons and I like its shape. I also like the clock and the special flute. The clock design is inscrutability, but I think its defect is it can't have external force. I am not very interesting in the paintings, I only like the "secerts" of the paintings that what is its meaning and its strange places.
Da Vinci was an inscrutability man, he was good at many things, invention, painting, music, architecture. Even more.

Leonardo's inventions

This machine is the first ever known Helicopter design. It uses a aero-dynamic screw which has only previously been applied to a kids' toy from Asia. This design show how much Leonardo loved the shape of screw and spiral, which has every kind of engineering applications.

This machine looks like the glider we have today. The main reason to create is to achieve flight. This is the first plane design capable to flight. If this design became an established machine in his day, it would have led in the development of aviation in general. He might become weathlier than Michelangelo

Renaissance harmony and beauty

"The Last Judgement"
by Michelangelo Buonarroti

This painting is on the wall of a church. The painting has three parts. The middle is Jesus. And his right hand is the higher of the two hands. It means the people in right can go to heaven. And the left hand is lower. It means the people in the left side are going to go to hell. The painting is about Jesus told his adherents, in future. There will be a judgement. It will separate good and bad people. The good people will be in the heaven. And the bad people will go to hell. Michelangelo painted himself in the Jesus hand.

"The School of Athens"

In this big painting, he painted many philosophers and thinkers in it. Fifty philosophers, artists, scientists of ancient Greece and Rome are in there. Like Archimedes, Ptolemy, Michelangelo... and he also paint himself in side.

Images of Devotion in Renaissance Art

===================================================
http://www.mrdowling.com/704-art.html
I find this site about Renaissance art. I read the paragraph that talk about the Renaissance art and how it comes. In this time, the art is more liflike than before in the Midle Ages. The artists learned the perspective, it makes the difference of looking in different views and distances. Giotto was the first one to painted like that. Even he lived more than a century before the beginning of the Renaissance, he paintings show real life.

=====================================================

The last supper
by Leonardo da Vinci
1495-1497

This painting, he gets out of old ways that because the Jesus is noble, he painted him with his other twelve adherents. In the nervous atmosphere, Jesus opens his hands and mkes the painting in triangle. He gave every character a different expressions and plentiful moods.

Mona Lisa
by Leonardo da Vinci
1503-1505

In this painting, it is the first time he use his new way to paint. It called"sfumato" to make the feeling of the space. It just like mixing me the nature.
And also, the month of the woman in the painting is special. Her eyes will always looking at you. Even you walk around. Although the technique is easy, but the person and the background looked very harmonious, let it became a very famous painting in the world.

Apprenticeship and workshops in the Renaissance

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raphael#Workshop
This site is about a artist called Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino. But we often heard only the name Raphael. He was a Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance. He, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci together form a traditional trinity of great masters of that period. Raphael had a workshop with fifty pupils and assistants. It can arguably the largest workshop team assemble under any single old master painter.

This site is about a man called Giovanni Bellini. He was the most important painter active in Venice of the late 15th Century. He also had a sister, and she was a painter, too. When he wasn't a popular painter. He worked in his father's workshop and he was an apprentice. When he was good at painting. He taught Giorgione and Titian, they also outdid their own teacher later. After he died for a while, his greatest works were destroyed in a church fire in the year of 1577.

They life bertween them and us were very different. They had to leaned by them self if they want to learn some special crafts. And be like a servant under the master. Now, learning crafts are not very difficult. You can pay money for it to learn. And teacher will be kind of you. Our art class system just like cram school, not like being like a servant before. However, they most important things to learn crafts is not these. Most important is to workhard. It is a truth that will never change.
